How To Browse The Internet Anonymously

There are a number of ways to stay anonymous while you browse websites online. A lot of people are not comfortable with their browser history being displayed when they go online, and if you are one of them you will want to know about some of the different ways that you can browse incognito so as to avoid any trace of your web history whatsoever. There are plenty of different options for those who want to have maximum privacy on computer which are shared with others. It is important to have as many ways as possible to keep your browsing secure and private at all times.

With the latest versions of most web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Google Chrome, you will be able to turn on a setting which allows you to browse whichever websites you want without leaving a single trace behind. Before you were just able to manually clear your browser history or cookies, but you will no longer have to worry about doing any of that when you update your browser to its latest version.

In Firefox you will be able to go to "Tools" and then select "Start Private Browsing". This will close all of your current tabs and websites that you have open (they will come back when you exit this mode) and it will take you into private browsing where you will be able to avoid leaving a single trace of the websites you have visited. There are quite a few people who find this setting extremely useful when trying to avoid leaving behind a trail of websites that have been visited on a public computer.

No matter what browser you are using, you will be able to select this option and it will take you straight into that mode. When you are done and want to return to the normal browsing mode, all you have to do is click "Stop private browsing" in Firefox, or whatever button corresponds to this action in your own browser. It is an extremely simple and easy way to avoid letting other people know where you have been online.

Going through a proxy server is another way to stay anonymous online at all times. You will be able to go to a proxy server website, type in the URL you want to go to in the search bar provided, and it will take you to the site. With this method you will be really browsing anonymously, not even allowing the administrators of the websites you visit to see your real IP address, but rather that of the proxy server you are using. It is important to realize that some proxy servers are more anonymous than others and that there are certain ways for website admins to gain access to your real IP, so make sure the one you are on is one hundred percent secure. If you are serious about your private web browsing, then you will want to take the time to look around and find a proxy server that will give you what you need when it comes to online anonymity.
